Heating Controls restructures its production base

The highly automated factories in Silkeborg and Viby, both in Denmark, will take over the current production from the business unit’s production lines in Poland and the Ukraine, and as a result these will be closed during the next months. The existing HEC production in Wuqing, China, will be expanded, and a full scale production of radiator thermostatic valves will be established here for the local market as well as exports.

The valve production site in Viby, Denmark, will focus on high runner valves and act as brass valve competence centre within HEC. The Wuqing site will manufacture low runner valves, where set-up times and manual labour resources are relatively high. The full restructuring between Viby and Wuqing will be implemented over a two-year period.
